“I’m bored!”  I think all parents have heard that statement before and it’s sometimes a struggle to come up with something to do.  Too often I just let my daughter play a video game on the computer or play her Wii.  Today I decided that we would do something I haven’t done in a while.  We danced! I cranked up the music and we just jumped around and acted silly, even doing the robot a time or two.  As a tribute to the day, we played “Friday” twice. (Glee version, of course)

After a while I was exhausted and we were laughed out.  As we collapsed together on the floor I realized that something happened in that time we were dancing; I felt lighter.  The stress of the day fell away and my mood was so much better.  I know I burned some calories doing our funky dancing   Moving forward I think I am going to add random dancing to our routine, it’s great exercise and its a lot of fun.  I would even go as far as to say it was fun, fun, fun and I know we are both looking forward to the weekend!
